The 2017 YES Camp Sponsorship

Mid Co-op believes the best way to build a co-operative future is to advance life skills independence, responsibility and community building in our youth leaders. Each year, Co-op sponsors three young people for the BCCA YES Camp– Youth Excellence Society!

The YES leadership camp is a summer camp that provides week long leadership retreats for youth from all over British Columbia. Skills’ training is offered for 14-18 year-olds in the areas of self-awareness, co-operation, communication, global awareness, environmental sustainability and leadership. Participants take part in the creation of a strong community of support, respect and growth in the summer camp. If you are a Mid Island Co-op Member with a loved one that deserves to be a part of the “Youth Excellence Society”, we want to hear their story. Mid Island Co-op’s The YES Camp sponsorship applications will be accepted beginning March 6th to April 28th, 2017. A Summer experience that will last you a lifetime!

This year Mid Island Co-op is pleased to send Kiana Hodge, Caitlin McCandles and Magnun Hanson to the 2016 YES Camp!

Mid Island Co-op is pleased to present another Co-operative Youth Award to an exceptional youth!

Do you know a Cooperative Youth or group of youths (18 years of age or younger) whose actions embody the spirit of cooperation and whose actions contribute to the betterment of the community? We want to celebrate the accomplishments of youth who are working together to contribute to our community and awarding them with $500!
